We all love Amapiano songs. But most of us don’t know where this subgenre originated from. Let me burst your bubbles. Amapiano is a style of house music that originated in South Africa in the middle of the 2010s.

It is a blend of deep house, jazz, and lounge songs, with synths and vast percussion bass lines as its key characteristics. Afterward, Kabza De Small began to play the same songs. Formerly, the genre was known as “number.” But, the name “amapiano” was created and popularized by MFR Souls.
