Death And Arrest Of The Suspect

Aka and Motsoane were scheduled to host a concert at the Yugo nightclub in Durban on February 10, 2023, at around 10 p.m. A hooded gunman confronted them and fired Aka in the head. His accomplice, who was waiting behind Aka’s car, then fired multiple shots, killing Motsoane.

Cops had been hunting the suspects for weeks, as reported by Netwerk24. The cops found DNA and prints from a getaway car that had been parked and found in Umlazi, KZN. One of the DNA samples was presumably matched to a gang leader from the Empangeni cab industry who is accused of several crimes.

Officers pretended to be Sassa agents to help people apply for grants to track down the dreaded crime boss. This enabled the cops to verify that he and his alleged conspirators were already in Cape Town.

The suspects were reportedly detained on Sunday, March 26, in Cape Town. It was further alleged that they will be transferred to Durban, where they’re likely to be prosecuted.
